We’ve been in recruitment for over 30 years and we’ve held onto our ethos of ethics and fairness throughout that time whilst navigating change and modernisation to become the thriving forward thinking business we are today. And as we enter a new norm, we once again embrace the change and challenge ahead of us, evolving our brand to reflect the pace and complexities of cross sector specialist recruitment. OUR JOURNEY
1988 – Company begins…
Started as a retail recruitment agency ‘Success Appointments’ in the heart of the west end and shopping hub of London. Very quickly became a recruitment suppler for all head office functions covering, Buying, Merchandising, Design, Sales and Product Technologists.
1998 – A decade in business
We continue to forge relationships and help people find careers and progressive and rewarding roles in retail
2000 –
Embraced the new millennium with the opening of new offices in Manchester and Leeds, as we start Store recruitment and go nationwide.
2010 –
Survived the credit crunch and consolidate with two offices in strategic locations in London and Manchester to service our customers without compromise
2011 – Success Digital is born!
As our clients went through their digital transformation, we embarked on our own exciting digital journey and Success Digital was born. #wehavearrived
2013 – Digital Diversifies
We continued to learn and grow, and within two years we raised our profile on the big stage at the E Tail Awards and presented the Best Multichannel award to John Lewis.
2015 – Temp Tribe
We listened to our clients and extended our services to freelance, interim and contract recruitment. This was a great way to give our clients more flexibility, access new skills and save money, leading to meaningful permanent hires and boosting team morale by providing extra support.
2016 – Most Socially Engaged Award
It was incredibly satisfying for us to be recognised by LinkedIn on our team’s diligence and dedication to integrating social media into our business and how we harnessed the power of social media to connect with our customers. #LinkedinTop25 #wellconnected
2019 – MBO
Founder Stephen Selby gives way to trusted Joint MD, Deepak Saluja and his Management Team who embark on a new journey to take Success forward.
2020 – Game changer
The global pandemic accelerated our plans to become more agile, as we embraced change, remote working, tech to trade and collaboration online with our colleagues, clients and candidates.
2021 – Build back Britain better
Success plays a key part in providing top talent for the nationwide vaccination programme, as it embarks on a recruitment playbook within Healthcare and Pharma.
Re brand
With an energetic and experienced recruitment team focused on delivering Vision 35, the time is right to re brand, as we continue to build our Digital & Retail recruitment business and diversify into Health, Pharma and the Green economies.

We stay close to our partners at all touch points If our clients can deliver rapid retail, then we must be able to deliver rapid recruitment! There are no traffic jams in the extra mile!

Honesty is the best policy. Sounds cliché, but we strictly abide by this value and that’s why we are still in business after 33 years. We are ethical and transparent about our views and give our sincere and honest advise where required, internally to a colleague or externally to a recruitment customer.
